Calling all Holiday HEROES!
There’s no denying that winter is here, and with Thanksgiving only a week away, we know the holiday season is upon us! While the holiday season is a time of joy and celebration for many, there are families dealing with anxiety, stress, and for some, the lasting effects of abuse. CAPA is working with these families to bring back the warmth of a healthy home and the HOPE for brighter days to come. One way we work to do this is through our Holiday Heroes program!
Our clients, just as you might, love seeing the joy on their children’s faces as they open presents they have shopped for and chosen for them. 
With that in mind, we created the 2014 Holiday Heroes Holiday Store at CAPA. On Saturday, December 13th, CAPA staff, interns, and volunteers will create a shopping experience that will give our clients the opportunity to choose the perfect gifts for their children. Parents will get to choose one item for their family as a whole as well as two to three gifts, hand selected by mom or dad, for each child. While parents are busy shopping, CAPA kids will be engaged in a fun activity. Presents leave wrapped and sealed to help keep the surprise for that special holiday moment!
There are 4 ways YOU can be a Holiday HERO:
- Host a Toy Drive
- Sponsor CAPA Kids by age group
- Shop online at our Wal-Mart wish list
- Volunteer – we will need a lot of help creating our Holiday Store for our families!
